Mask Or Not To Mask. Do We Have To Ask?

Mask or not to mask, that is the question …. Well, depending on who you ask.

The CDC recommends that face masks or cloth face coverings be worn while in public and when around people who don’t live in your household. Also, practice social distancing whenever possible.

Compliance and defiance are both reactions we have as freedom loving humans, comparing our feelings with our friends and debating what is reported in the media.

Do we really have a choice? Depending on your own personal long-term outlook and self-prediction of the future, we might not.

On June 5, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued an update to their interim guidance from April 6, 2020, which included updated scientific evidence relevant to the use of masks for preventing transmission of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as well as practical considerations (PDF document). WHO has more information on when and how to use masks.

As updates about which U.S. States are requiring people to wear masks when out in public, please refer to our U.S. State Coronavirus Info Websites post.

Even though it seems that the science points to wearing some kind of face covering does affect the transmission of the coronavirus, should we not err on the side of covering our faces if slows down a pandemic that has gone viral?
